Technology
preview: The upcoming version of the Maya® plugin will
include a new technology called Tru-Poly.
Tru-Poly will enable Turbo Graphix to more closely map the exterior
pixels of images containing transparency. The release of Tru-Poly will
unlock a variety of new features for Turbo Graphix. Hardware shadows and
image based modeling
are just two of the possible applications. Below is a sample image

and development that shows the four basic steps in clockwise order:
Image Loading, Exterior Analysis, Point Reduction, and Polygon Creation.

Minor update released. Simply fixes some very minor bugs in release r.59 and updates the Photoshop workflow to have a new attribute "tg_allowRebuild". This update will auto-upgrade any of your existing Photoshop® objects to also have this new attribute, which allows greater contol over the Photoshop® workflow.

Minor hotfix released. This release updates version r.59 with a new dialog that can be used to customize build attributes on Photoshop® DAG Objects without the need to muck around in the attribute editor. To make sure you are running the latest version, just check the date on the top entry in changelog.txt

New update released! Grab the latest version r.59 on our download page. This is the update artists and animators have been waiting for! Finally a true workflow from Maya® to Photoshop® has been established for more than just texturing! Turbo Graphix now has the capability to create transforms in Maya called "Photoshop® DAG Objects". These objects are essentially 3D representations of *.PSD files in Maya®. Not only can you update/edit these objects to match the contents of your Photoshop® Documents, you can also modify each layer independently to perform complex animations! Version r.57 Released! This long awaited update brings with it a massive list of new improvements, features, and bug fixes, not mention full 64bit support for ALL current versions of Maya®! If you have not yet tried Turbo Graphix or only have experience with an older version, you owe it to yourself to check out this edition. Over a month of work has gone into this release. It is by far the best version of Turbo Graphix yet!

Maya® 8.0 support added!
You can now download Turbo Graphix for Maya® 8.0. All downloads
have been updated to also include a new billboarding shortcut in the
Turbo Graphix main menu. Improved
Photoshop®
integration is also included,
via a bundled *.jsx script that can convert *.PSD documents directly
into Turbo Graphix MEL code! If you don't wish to re-download Turbo
Graphix, you can download the *.jsx script by clicking here.

New update released! Go to the download page to update to revision 53. This update includes a major enhancement to the behavior of the "keep patterns intact" feature. The image processor can now identify "Islands" of pixels on a single layer, and optimize the resulting textures accordingly. Read the user guide for details.
